Beef Cattle - Feb/Mach calving. Sold as "Sappy milk fed vealers" in December each year, either 'Over the Hooks' or as stores in the Pakenham saleyards. However, there is much farm infrastructure that could suit alternative operations. The farm includes 50 acres of old growth forest bushland that may be suitable for hives.

Is the farm currently profitable?

The last two years sold the steer vealers at >$2000 each . The heifer vealers have sold at approx $1800 each.

Capital Requirements

Buying more Springers to calve down and retain for ongoing animal production. Currently only 25 cows on farm as I transition to retirement. Have previously peaked at 57 cows with calves at foot.
