Future Requirements

What is the opportunity?
Joint Venture. Investment requirement of $50,000 would give 50% stake in the business to the suitable applicant. There is large opportunity for expansion of the business it just requires some capital and labour input that cannot be provided at this point from the current management structure. The business would be setup in a new structure that would leave the packing, marketing and distribution arms separate. The eggs would be purchased from the new business at farm gate price that would be negotiated every 12mths. There would be a trial period to ensure all parties are confident in the opportunity and each other. The venture would provide approximately 20hrs work per week. There is the opportunity to fill the remaining hours to achieve fulltime work in other areas on the farm/business and there is also the ability to expand into further enterprises that are complementary to the current business and would also create further cost savings to the free range poultry enterprises.
Accommodation Provided
There currently isn’t dwelling for residence on farm, however there is a secondary dwelling entitlement on farm. There are rental opportunities locally on acreage for between $300-$350/week.

Financial Projections

Is the farm currently profitable?
This would be a new entity separated from existing enterprises, Current projected Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) are estimated at $48,000. 20hrs per week of paid employment would also generate the applicant a gross salary of $32,750.
Capital Requirements
$50,000 capital requirement. This would allow for the immediate expansion of the flock to meet current demands.
