What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Been managing farming operations for last 7 years. I have experience in orchards, broad acre and big scale irrigation. I have been involved in developing multi million dollar projects and managing big to medium scale operations. Father more I have 18 years experience managing my own farming business. I have self educate and done courses in Regenerative Farming over the last three years and started implementing my knowledge and regenerative principals into our farming system. I am ready to make a difference and take ownership of a sustainable business.

Why are you passionate about farming?

Farming is my passion because I just love soil. What really makes me tick is taking dirt, change it in to healthy soil and grow healthy profitable crops with low input costs. I am very passionate about regenerative farming systems because I see that as the vehicle for agriculture to become sustainable, put carbon back in the soil and produce healthy nutrient dens foods. I love nature, to be in it work with it and protected it with all the means I have.

Best days of being a farmer:

The perfect farm could be anywhere in QLD or NSW where I can apply regenerative farming practices. Would love to be on a farm with a mix of sheep and dry land cropping. I am growing cotton at this stage and doing a lot of work to make it more sustainable and using regenerative methods to grow the crops. I am passionate in apply biological methods to increase soil health and productivity.
