What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Have sat down with a dairy farm consultant, and got a small herd of cows I can buy from family.

Why are you passionate about farming?

It’s what I love and live for. Been doing it all my life. Met my girlfriend on a farm tour. Great life for future generations.

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm would be in central northern Victoria or southern NSW, milking cows that are either grazing or housed. My best day I would get up before sunrise on a spring morning, set the dairy up and bring the cows into the yard and milk them. After the cow is happily walking away from the dairy I would wash the dairy and go to feed the calves, or assist a farm hand with it. Then would go in for breakfast and look at my to do list for the day. When I’ve spent the day, with a lunch break in there somewhere, out doing things that need to be done I would get the cows and do another milking, before washing and feeding again. I would then go in the house and have a shower, dinner, and spend time with my girlfriend. Before getting ready to go to bed I would check the maternity pen to see if any need assistance and then go to bed, ready for another day tomorrow.
