What have you been doing to get farm ready?

I have been working on farms consecutively for the passed 9 years. I have completed a diploma in business agriculture along with numerous other courses inc feeding pastures for profits, life ewe management and more recently my wool classing ticket. I have also attend numerous bench marking groups. I like to keep up with current and upcoming farming practices.

Why are you passionate about farming?

I grew up with farming all around me. My father worked on his family dairy farm and so it was all around me from a very young age. I love working out doors. I love to be able to see results as a direct result of the hard work I have put in.

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm would be in a high rainfall area. Beef & sheep, together or on their own. My best days are always when you are drafting up steers to send off and you can see what good condition they are in. At sheering time when the wool is coming off and you can see the quality in the wool or after sowing down pastures seeing the straight clean rows. Makes all the hard work with it.
