What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Have been building my knowledge base around farming and business systems, and continually improving plans and ideas for future farming ventures. Have also been building connections with local farmers to widen the available knowledge/support base.

Why are you passionate about farming?

I inherited my passion for farming from my grandfather, and since I was young enjoyed the varied roles in farming operations and being able to work outdoors in the open air, and operate a variety of machinery.

Best days of being a farmer:

I'm not sure I have an ideal location for a farm, as there are positive aspects to the different types of farming suitable to different areas. At the moment I am located in Central West NSW and would love to be able to farm in the area, but am open to options across most of NSW or potentially Victoria or southern Qld. Ideally I'd like to run a mixed farming operation with sheep (Merino/dual purpose), cattle and some cropping for fodder and grain. I enjoy setting up good systems, so would like to be able to build a property up to where it is easy to operate with laneways, yards and etc, and can focus on quality farming rather than maintenance and chasing stock around paddocks all day.
