What have you been doing to get farm ready?

I have been extending my skill set by obtaining a Level 3 Chemical Safety Certificate, Forklift licence, White Card and HR licence (learners). I have also been looking into ways to invest in property with the capacity to farm. I have been doing research into different methods of growing feed for cattle in ways to reduce chemicals and synthetic fertilisers.

Why are you passionate about farming?

I have always been passionate about farming from a young age. My grandfather had a dairy farm when I was a child where I would visit him frequently and love to talk to him about what was happening on the farm. A few years later, I would help the neighbour with his beef cattle including mustering tagging etc.

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm is in Queensland where I would farm beef cattle with somewhere I can grow feed/improve pastures. My best day would be everyday as I could see the progress the farm was making, just being on the farm and seeing hard work pay off.
