What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Working for a progressive family farm. Talking to people in similar positions and in different areas of agriculture. Leasing a small portion of cropping ground to learn what's involved in marketing and business side of things as I'm already confident in the manual day to day activities of running a farm.

Why are you passionate about farming?

Farming can be rewarding both financially and personally. It's a great lifestyle. Farming keeps you thinking may it be marketing or day to day activities Farming keeps you active and busy working flexible hours. Along with my farming background these few things + some others are what keep me passionate about farming

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm would be in the south west of WA and to start with 1500ha+ Of ideal grain/sheep land with house and sheds in the right time expanding to a manageable sized farming enterprise leasing and share farming both being possible anveues to work towards a sizeable and profitable aggregation being self employed at the end of the day and being able to support a family would be a great result having my own machinery required and suitable to crop the land i hope to aquire would be a must. On my best days I will make decisions with my wife on how to take the next step beneficial to our businesses future.
