What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Reading Animal husbandry litricher. Talking with my father who had been a farmer for most of his working life. We have a lot to learn about farming but we are keen to learn. Equity or share farming would be great for us as we could learn the ropes from some more experienced and seasoned farmers.

Why are you passionate about farming?

I was raised on a plantation that grew Coco and Coconuts with a small head of Brahman cattle that were sold and slaughtered for the local meat market. My dream would be to own and run a small live stock farm that could generate a comfortable income for my young family. I am a dedicated hard work person that doesn't mind to get his hands dirty or work long hours in a day. Some of my greatest memories are waking up in the morning at a mates farm and saddle up my horse for a day of mustering.

Best days of being a farmer:

Our dream farm would ideally be located around the Sunshine Coast area not to far from the beach, with either meat goats or beef as the main income. Some pastures were we could harvest hay, grow a veggie patch and have a selection of fruit trees would be awesome.
