What have you been doing to get farm ready?

We are been leasing a dairy farm (purchased the herd) in the Bega Valley for the past 6 years. With our current lease coming to expiry in 2020 we are looking to unlock our next chapter and take our business to the next level. We currently milk 180 cows with all year calving, we would love to be able to find a farm that we have the opportunity to grow our business.

Why are you passionate about farming?

WE LOVE DAIRY FARMING. We are both extremely passionate about dairy farming, our aim is to operate at a top level across all sections of our dairy business. We have a fantastic culture within our business and know how valuable it is to conduct our business with morals, integrity and honesty. We are looking for our next opportunity to secure our future as dairy business owners. We have a passion for our cows and seeing them reach their full potential. Giving back to the dairy industry is also important to us both as we have been and are in positions outside of our business that help other farmers. We are also passionate about the people in our industry as friends, colleagues and people we look up to and aspire to become.

Best days of being a farmer:

To be on a farm milking excess of 350 cows where we are building our equity in that farm. Our best days are working with our cattle, growing great crops and being involved in our brilliant dairy industry to see it go forward and the added bonus of raising our children on the farm.
