What have you been doing to get farm ready?

We are been leasing a dairy farm (purchased the herd) in the Bega Valley for the past 5 years. With our current lease coming to expiry in 2020 we are looking to unlock our next chapter and take our business to the next level. We currently milk 180 cows with all year calving, we would love to be able to find a farm that we have the opportuintiy to grow our business.

Why are you passionate about farming?

WE LOVE DAIRY FARMING. We are both extremly passionate about our cows, genetics and calf rearing, along with growing the best possible pastures to drive production and milk yeilds. Breeding cows and seeing an improvement in our cattle makes us even more driven, and caring for the enviroment first hand to ensure we are leaving the best possible enviroment for the next generation of farmers is also extremly important to us. We love how passionate people within this proactive, vibrant and exhilarating industry we work in are.

Best days of being a farmer:

We would love to be dairy farming close to the feed belt in central NSW or Northern Vic, milking 350 cows or more where we are paying off the farm. Our best days are working with our cattle, growing great crops and being involved in our brilliant dairy industry to see it go forward and the added bonus of raising our children on the farm.
