What have you been doing to get farm ready?

I have been focusing on growing my knowledge and experience in growing food. I started by studying a bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture and Food security at western Sydney university, attending professional development workshops run by local land services, volunteering my time on farms and working for two organically certified vegetable and mixed farms. Through these experiences i can confidently say that i can build healthy relationships, grow healthy food ethically and directing it towards sustainability. i have developed my observation skills to work proactively when faced with a new task.

Why are you passionate about farming?

The worlds population is growing and we need to feed the world or starting with our local community by growing in a regenerative manner.

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm is where i can grow just outside of town for my community, where fresh produce can be accessed. I hope to have a mixed farming enterprise to diversify the income of the property. I would aim to build relationships with local businesses where we can supply produce and in return we can acquire compostable goods to build a closed loop system.
