What have you been doing to get farm ready?

We have developed our business to the point it is ready to scale up. We have developed relationships with key customers and have invested in branding, some infrastructure, and breeding stock.

Why are you passionate about farming?

We both grew up on farms, and have strong connections to the land, especially niche, high welfare industries.

Best days of being a farmer:

We are ideally looking to farm in South East Tasmania, close to market channels for our niche free range ducks. We have proven there is a strong demand for the product, and that we are able to produce it consistently. Our next step is to increase the scale incrementally. The best days are probably spent on the important tasks involved in keeping the flock healthy and productive, and then developing business.
