What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Weekend work on a dairy/crop farm for the past 5 years (will go full time after I finish my apprenticeship)

Why are you passionate about farming?

Ive all ways been interested in farming even when I was at school all I wanted to be was a farmer then the oputunite come up when I was 14 to do some relief milking and from then I haven’t looked back I am so much more involved in the operation now doing things from sowing, discing up paddocks, watering, driving the chaser bin at harvest, raising cattle, drenching and vacationing cattle and feeding cattle,Have even started to buy some dairy cows I only have two at the moment but still growing, keep in mind I have been doing all this around my full time employment as a apprentice metal fabricator currently in my final year so can’t wait to start focusing on my dreams full time.

Best days of being a farmer:

I would like to start out on a 250ac to 300ac property out of barooga share crop some of it and work on a mates farm until I can afford to start doing a bit more of it myself and at the same time be running a little Angus herd, then later on down the track I want to build a dairy on the property and start milking cows
